TÜBİTAK has decided to fund our project 220M024, “Prediction of The Ageing Rates of Plastic Materials in Different Environments by Machine Learning Methods,” led by our head of laboratory Assist. Prof. Dr. Ulaş YURTSEVER, under the TÜBİTAK 1001 – The Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Program through the Engineering Research Support Group (MAG).

Launched on March 15, 2021, the project aims to predict the aging of plastic materials in different environments using machine learning methods. Our Interdisciplinary Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the Research, Development and Application Center (SARGEM) of Sakarya University also began its work with this project.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meral YURTSEVER of the Department of Environmental Engineering at Sakarya University and Prof. Dr. Hüseyin ÜNAL of the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Sakarya University of Applied Sciences take part in the project as researchers.

Details of the project are available on our Projects page.
