TÜBİTAK has decided to fund project 126E722, “Exponential Atomic Oversampling Method for Unbalanced Datasets (ExATOM): Algorithm Design, Software Development, and Experimental Validation,” led by Assist. Prof. Dr. Esin Ayşe ZAİMOĞLU of the Department of Information Systems Engineering at Sakarya University, with our head of laboratory Assist. Prof. Dr. Ulaş YURTSEVER as a researcher, under the TÜBİTAK 3501 – Career Development Program (CAREER).
The project covers the design of a new method called exponential atomic oversampling for imbalanced datasets, the development of its software, and its experimental validation. The project will start on October 15, 2026, and will run for 18 months.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Birkan BÜYÜKARIKAN of Isparta University of Applied Sciences and Lect. Dr. Havva Gül KOÇER of Selçuk University also take part in the project as researchers.
Details of the project are available on our Projects page.
